BEAEAI manages and offers some local scholarships available to alumni and current seniors at Blue Earth Area High School who will graduate in June, 2025, and plan to continue with some form of post-high school education. Students who want to be considered for any of these awards ranging in size from $500 to $4,000, must complete an application which can be obtained at the Blue Earth Area High School Guidance Office. You can obtain more information and an application at the BEA School District website (beaschools.org). Once there click on "Schools" and select "High School". Now go to "Menu" and select "HS Guidance Counselor". Select the menu link at the upper left corner and then select "Financial Aid/Scholarships". The local scholarships are awarded to students at the spring high school awards program. Current Blue Earth Area seniors or alumni must complete their application within the period of November 15, 2024- February 15th, 2025, to be considered for awards presented in the spring of 2025.

Blue Earth Area Educational Assistance Inc. - Three $2,000 scholarships
for seniors planning further education

Blue Earth Area Fire Relief Association -  $1,000 for a senior planning training in emergency services such as firefighting, EMT, paramedic, law enforcement or other related specialties such as Healthcare

Blue Earth Area High School Scholarship -  one $2,000 scholarship for a senior planning further education 

Blue Earth Drug -  $1,000 for a senior planning a four-year degree in a medical related career. Preference may be given to those planning to enter the pharmacy field and work in a rural area

Bob Jackson scholarship -  $1,000 for a senior planning to attend Minnesota State University- Mankato or another Minnesota State University.  Applicant must have participated in High School athletics for at least three out of four years, including the senior year

Bolton and Menk Inc - $1,000 for a senior planning a four-year degree in the field of engineering. Preference may be given to those planning to become a civil engineer

Callaghan Family - $1,000 for a senior planning further education in a medical related career

David Aasen Memorial -  $1,000 for a senior planning further education

Ellen Jane Klimo - Two $2,500 scholarships for seniors who have a disability planning further education

Hoffman-Paschke Family - $4,000 for a senior planning further education and service to others

Joan Rustad-Huisman - STEM Scholarship - $4,000 for a senior planning further education in the areas of science, technology, engineering, or math

Lee Wagner Memorial -  $1,000 for a male or female senior planning further education who participated in high school varsity athletics and has never had a MSHSL violation on their record

Lions Club -  $1,000 each for a male and female senior planning further education who participated in high school varsity athletics and has never had a MSHSL violation on their record

Lutter Family - Three $2,000 scholarships for seniors planning post-secondary education and two $2,000 awards for alumni of Blue Earth Area HS currently enrolled in a post high school program

Mary Tempel Award - $1,000 for a senior planning further education who has participated in community service activities such as the peer helper program

Maynard and Marion Johnson Memorial - Two  $1,000 scholarships for seniors planning further education

Mitchell Perrizo Jr. Service Award -  $4,000 for a senior planning further education who has a record of service

Mitteldorf Family -  $500 for a senior planning further education in a conservation, agriculture, or Personal Family Life Sciences and related careers

Nadine Wickersham Krull Memorial - $500 for a senior planning to definitely enter a career as a teacher

Riverside Town and Country Club -  $1,000 for a senior planning further education

Roy & Jean Yaeger Memorial -  $2,000 for a senior planning further education

Vera Steinberg -  a scholarship program that varies in number and amount up to 4 awards per year sharing $8,000. Offered to alumni of BEAHS  currently in college and preparing for a career in agriculture or religion. Anyone interested must contact the BEAHS Guidance Office for details about how to apply
